Read the following text carefully from your Student’s Book (Page 6), then answer the questions that follow.


Hala was looking at a magazine when her friend Nour saw her. Nour asked, "Have you done that quiz about phone etiquette in this magazine?" Hala replied that she had, and it was quite fun. They started discussing their answers.

For the first question, which was about what you would do with your phone in a restaurant, Hala thought she would choose A or sometimes B. She knew it was good manners to switch off your phone in public places, but lots of people just keep using them. Nour agreed and said she must stop doing that, too. She thought it was more considerate to put your phone away when you're out with friends.

Then Hala talked about question four. She recalled an incident on the bus the other day. She felt proud because she turned around and politely asked a man, "Would you mind lowering your voice?" The man apologized and ended his call. Nour was impressed and said, "Well done, Hala! I wouldn't do anything because I'm quite shy and I don't like interrupting people." She admitted that sometimes you just have to say something.
